REVIEW
Another “classic” slasher flick, this time from our old favourite Jess Franco.
The plot surrounds Miguel, an ugly disfigured nephew of a rich Countess, who years ago, butchered a young woman with a pair of scissors for rejecting his advances at a beach party (I wonder why?) Hence him being locked up in a nuthouse for a few years. When he gets out, he goes to stay with his sister Manuela at a resort in the Costa Del Sol, near a school where she works.
We learn that for some reason, the Countess has written Miguel’s sister out of her will, and that Miguel is the sole beneficiary. Manuela persuades her nutty brother to go on a killing spree, so he responds by stabbing a student called Eva. Another student called Angela finds Eva’s bloody jumper, and after more slayings, she comes across several body parts before being attacked. Surprisingly, it is Miguel who comes to her assistance, which spins the film into an unpredictable climax.
As the flick draws to a close, we see a series of bizarre twists, as Manuela spikes Angela, who then stabs Miguel. The principal gets involved, which leads to him being killed by Manuela. Finally, Manuela gets her come-uppance at the hands of her brother, and then he dies too. All of this excitement packed into an entertaining 81 minutes!
