More jungle exploits, this time with the lurrvly Ursula Fellner and directed by our old mate Jess Franco. This super rare Cinehollywood flick comes with a blue cover, although there is also an even rarer red cover edition knocking about for you die-hard nasty collectors out there.
We kick off the film with some antics in the jungle, where a young woman is chased through the trees by “The Devil”, a big naked black guy with eyes like ping-pong balls. He eventually catches up with her, and feeds on her entrails. Meanwhile, film star Laura (Fellner) is getting hot and soapy in a hotel bath, when she is kidnapped by a gang and taken to their hideout in the jungle.
As the film company hire an Indiana Jones-type bloke called Peter Weston to rescue her, we get back to the action in the jungle, where Laura is whipped and raped by an ugly bloke, whilst being tied to a post. There is some argy-bargy where the kidnappers meet Peter to get the $6 million ransom, and a gun fight ensues. The kidnappers lose track of Laura, and she buggers off into the jungle.
Meanwhile, “The Devil” is walking (slowly) around the jungle breathing-heavily and killing a couple of people, strangely enough, one girl on a boat in the middle of the bay as well! How did he get on there? Anyway, Laura is eventually caught and tied to a sacrificial post, and instead of killing her, the monster picks her up and carries her to the top of a cliff, where Peter catches up, has a brief scrap, then throws him onto the rocks below.
A nice scene at the end follows, where Peter and Laura are sailing away on a boat in a nice breeze, with the $6 million in the bag and a lovely shot of her with her (very nice) pods out. Overall, I don’t know why this was banned. I think it was a mixture of her getting tied up, whipped and raped, and some lame scenes of the monster chomping on people’s vital organs.
