REVIEW
As you can tell from its very imaginative title, this is a very bizarre nasty from Mexico, which was released way back in 1972 on the IFS label.
The “story” involves a skilled surgeon, whose son has a serious heart ailment. He ends up replacing the boy’s heart with that of a gorilla, causing him to mutate into a strange man-beast, and go around ripping women’s clothes off and the faces off men.
We kick off as Lucy, the catwoman-type wrestler in a red-devil suit, kicks the shit out of an opponent and knocks her out. Her boyfriend, a rozzer, tells her its OK – but she cannot hack it any more. Meanwhile, Krellman, a surgeon, attempts to cure his son’s illness by giving him an “ape-to-human” heart transplant.
Here we are treated to a session of
some real open-heart surgery, before the boy ends up turning into a rampaging
man-ape, complete with shite special effects and make up. From this point,
the rest of the film is a manic display of malicious killings as the man-ape
goes on a bloody rampage.
