Determined to escape the clutches of her perverted step-father, young Nancy Johnson decides to leave home and hitch-hike to California. Oblivious to the danger of accepting lifts from strangers, She makes the fatal error of joining up with a pair of seemingly harmless young men. What begins is a whirlwind of nightmarish insanity that brings Nancy face to face with mass murderers, killers disguised as policemen, and a backwoods coven of blood hungry, corpse worshiping Satanists. A low budget b-movie with your typical backwood yokles. My favourite gory bit in this film is the throat cutting scene which was made by special effects guru Tom Savini.
