Director Michele Soavi does the impossible by squeezing a few more drops of blood out from the slasher genre. Not only that, Soavi lensed one of the most beautiful and suspenseful horror flicks of the 80`s. A haunting horror set in a theatre, where the cast are rehearsing their new production. An escaped loony stows away on set and, dressed as an owl, knocks off the cast one by one using a chainsaw. Even though this film is a bit arty-farty and the music a bit loopy its not that bad and some of the gore scenes are quite convincing. The DVD has been re-released by the Video Instant Picture Company (VIPCO) and is in its fully uncut entirety. Welcome to the theatre of death. (Not as good as Opera by Dario Argento)
