Terror Firmer is the critically acclaimed
story of a low budget film crew, led by their blind film director, Larry Benjamin
(Played by Troma Co-Founder Lloyd Kaufman), trying to make some art. In addition
to the typical trials and travails of a Troma set, the crew finds themselves
set upon by a sexually conflicted, bomb bearing serial killer. Crazy as it
sounds the film actually works!
Unleashed by director Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma Team, Terror Firmer captures
their trademark manic humor combines it with a new darker sensibility to create
the latest in gender-bending, blood bursting, gore packed thriller which was
apparently inspired by Lloyd Kaufman's book, "All I Need To Know About
Filmmaking I Learned From The Toxic Avenger". Out of all the Troma flicks,
Terror Firmer is the most action packed, most personal and most bizarre adventure
in the 25-year history of Troma Entertainment.
Production assistant Jennifer (Alyce LaTourelle) struggles to succeed on set
and has to decide between the two men in her life- straitlaced Casey (Will
Keenan) and over the edge Jerry (Trent Haaga). This threesome heats up as
the killer draws even nearer. As the insanity increases and the bodies amass,
the crew bands together against the threat in their midst. Who is the killer?
How can he\she\it be stopped? Who will die next? And just what is this fascination
with pickles?
Terror Firmer features a talented ensemble cast of young and rising stars
(Debbie Rochon, Sheri Wenden and many more), and It also includes surprise
appearances by Theo from the Lunachicks, Lemmy from Motorhead. Also it has
a well wicked soundtrack which is available from Go Cart Records, featuring
songs from Entombed, The Lunachicks, Man Scouts of America, Motorhead, Two
Man Advantage, Toilet Boys and Catch 22 to name a few and it will have you
pogo-ing around the front room for hours.
Complete with stunning gore and complete mega-cheese TERROR FIRMER now has
been released unrated in a 2 disc special edition director`s cut DVD which
is absolutely packed with loads of features. My favourite part of the film
is when the punk dude looses his legs which had me in stitches for ages. Check
