A star ship, The Nostromo, investigates a transmission from a desolate planet and the crew go in to to investigate. After finding the ships captain, who looks like he has been dead for a millenium, they discover an area full of what looks like, giant eggs. A crew member, whilst pearing into a freshly hatched egg, gets attacked by an alien who attaches itself to his face. They rush the crew member back to the Nostromo but didn't realise what they took back with them.

What follows is one of the most successful Sci-fi flicks to date. Stunning effects and brilliant script tension combined with an excellent musical score make this movie a complete masterpiece. There is a great box set available for around 30 quid which contains all the alien movies and is the definitive collectors choice. The remastering is brilliant and Alien 3 has around an extra half hour to it.
