A woman`s horific visions fortell the opening of "The Gates of Hell" under a New England town called Dunwich. When she tells her story to some journalists, they set out to Dunwich to investigate and discover a zombie army of those burned at the stake over a century ago who are out to seek revenge.

Not one of the best Fulci flicks but is worth watching especially the "drill through the head scene" which has previously been cut from the U.K. version. All the pre cert versions are cut but there is a vhs transfer available from vipco.
