Two traveling companions, George and Edna, come across a small English town infested with "The Living Dead" who satisfy their cannibalistic hunger by feasting on any unsuspecting victim they come across. George discovers that an agricultural machine, which was performing an experiment with radiation waves, was the root of all the havoc. A relentless detective is on their case and is convinced that they are to blame for all the murders. George and Edna must fight for there innocence and their lives.

One of the best zombie flicks on the market which is shot and directed very well for it's day. An interesting twist on the Zombie genre which also tackles sensitive environmental issues. The UK DVD has been crisply re mastered by Anchorbay although there is a US DVD under the working title "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie". Apparently, according to the BBFC website, the UK DVD version is cut but I can't tell the difference between the two. Any info on this would be appreciated.
